When you see an Assist request from someone in our faction in the WARS TAB; we are at war with his or her clan, assisting them (and winning) will add to our overall battle scores.
Please note, you can only ask for help following a defeat.
This could make the vital difference in our closely lost battles.
In addition, if you see anyone within your own HQ that is a member of a current enemy faction - ask for help, it enables all of us to attack and reduce their health.
My interpretation? we should assist whenever we can, providing it is a winnable battle i.e. someone close to your level.
